Hello, my name is Mark Gowland. Thank you for visiting my website.
I completed my three-year Psychedelic Therapy & Transpersonal Psychology training with AWE. I will be pursuing my Master’s in Integral Psychedelic Therapy in 2026. I do this work because it is fascinating, and I love it.
The AWE training was the most fulfilling and challenging process I have done to date. In addition to the course load, we were also required to attend one retreat and one pilgrimage each year. These retreats pushed us to the edge of madness, which is especially important for us as psychedelic workers to have the experiences that our clients may have and be able to support them.
The other retreats were pilgrimages, where we went to territories inhabited by the indigenous people of that area. We were welcomed into their community and greeted as apprentices rather than tourists. During these pilgrimages, we had the opportunity to learn from the medicine people and take their medicine. My final pilgrimage is to Gabon in April 2025.
In 2022, I completed my first book called “Dream Speak: Understanding the hidden language of your dreams.” This work was a two-year endeavor that emerged out of my time in Jungian Psychoanalysis. The book’s premise is to create a layman’s guide to interpreting dreams using the Jungian Psychoanalytical method.
I am devoted to my own process of becoming, and I bring that same devotion when I work with clients. I am very passionate about working with people who feel they are on a quest for something, people who feel called to explore the deeper questions of human existence.
I developed Transpersonal Consulting as a way to work with people differently than the prescribed method used today by traditional approaches to counseling. My practice is located in the Vancouver area. I offer individual sessions for people on a quest for their healing, a willingness to explore their process, and those who want to explore a more profound experience of life. I will also be offering group retreats and events in 2025.
