Dream Work And Dream Circles
"Those who do not engage in their individuation work, are contributing to the worlds evil" - Robert Moore

Dreams are by far the most powerful substance produced from the unconscious. They are dynamite material fundamental to personal growth and change.
Our unconscious speaks a language beyond human time, and in the language and symbols of alchemy.
Engaging in dreamwork, is to engage in what Carl Jung called "the individuation process." Where the ultimate goal of Jungian Analysis is for the analysand to embark on their own personal path to wholeness. Our dreaming group hopes to assist in that process.
Dream work, particularly within the framework of Jungian psychology, offers numerous benefits for individual growth, self-awareness, and psychological healing. Dreaming groups, where individuals come together to explore and share their dreams, can amplify these benefits through collective insight and support. Here are some key advantages:
- Access to the Unconscious: Dreams provide a gateway to the unconscious mind, offering insights into aspects of ourselves that may be hidden or repressed. By exploring dreams, individuals can gain access to valuable information about their emotions, fears, desires, and unresolved conflicts.
- Symbolic Language: Dreams often communicate in symbolic language, using images, characters, and scenarios that may seem strange or nonsensical at first glance. Jungian dream work helps individuals decode these symbols, uncovering deeper meanings and connections to their waking life experiences.
- Integration of the Shadow: Jungian psychology emphasizes the importance of integrating the shadow, the unconscious aspects of the personality that are often denied or disowned. Dreams frequently contain elements of the shadow, providing opportunities for individuals to confront and embrace repressed aspects of themselves.
- Personal Growth: Engaging in dream work fosters personal growth by encouraging self-reflection, self-discovery, and self-acceptance. Through the exploration of dreams, individuals can gain greater insight into their inner world, leading to increased self-awareness and personal transformation.
- Problem Solving and Creativity: Dreams have the potential to offer creative solutions to waking life problems and challenges. By exploring dreams, individuals may uncover innovative perspectives and ideas that can inform their decision-making and problem-solving processes.
- Emotional Healing: Dreams often reflect unresolved emotional issues and traumas. Engaging in dream work can facilitate emotional healing by providing a safe space to process and integrate difficult emotions and experiences.
Dreaming groups enhance these benefits by providing a supportive community where individuals can share their dreams, receive feedback, and gain diverse perspectives. The group dynamic allows for collective exploration of dream symbolism and themes, fostering deeper insights and understanding. Additionally, participating in a dreaming group can create a sense of camaraderie and mutual support, reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.
In summary, dream work and dreaming groups offer a powerful means for individuals to explore the depths of their psyche, promote personal growth and self-awareness, and foster connections with others on a similar journey of inner exploration.
